P0121: TP Sensor Circuit Insufficient Activity

Possible Causes

• Faulty mass air flow (MAF) or manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor
• Vacuum leaks in the intake system
• Wiring or connector issues in the sensor circuit
• Contaminated or clogged air filter
• Faulty engine control module (ECM)

Diagnosis and Repair

• Scan for codes using an OBD-II scanner and note related codes
• Inspect intake system for vacuum leaks
• Check wiring and connectors for damage or loose connections
• Clean or replace the MAF sensor or air filter
• Test sensor output with a multimeter or scan tool
